The Half Day Diet is a simplified weight loss program written by fitness champion Nate Miyaki. The book is available in e-book PDF format that you can download in the member’s area after purchase. It is published and copyrighted by Shapeshifter Media, Inc, in 2013 so it is legit and not a scam.
The main book is 204 pages long and is comprised of six parts:
- The first and second parts of the book provide the introduction and background story of the origins of the program.

The main lessons that make up the Half Day Diet are found in the third part of the book. There are 15 chapters in the third part, but they can be separated into four sections according to importance:
Food Choices (Lesson #1)
It is true that simply by adjusting your food choices, you can achieve 80-90% of your weight goal. If you do this step correctly, you will not need any of the fad trend diet tricks and hacks that appear daily.

Cut out processed, man-made foods, and return to your evolutionary, ancestral, or cultural past by eating more real, natural foods like wild animals and plants.

Simply by cutting out chemical-laden processed foods, you return your metabolism to its natural state. Your body will begin to digest, absorb, and use nutrition properly. You will reduce or minimize disease and illness, and increase your immune system strength.
Diet Structure (Lessons #2 – #4)
Once you know what foods to avoid and what to eat, the next step is how to eat those foods. The lessons in Chapters 2 to 4 focus on finding a diet structure that fits YOUR lifestyle. Finding one structure that you can stick to consistently over a long period is the key to success.

Pros #1 – The lessons are structured well
I study about how the human brain studies. The way Nate structures each chapter is currently the most effective technique in helping the brain study. Each chapter has a real-life example for people who can only learn through examples, and it also has scientific research for people who learn through theories.
Some people must know WHY they need to learn something while other people must know HOW to do it. Nate covers all learning styles in each chapter.
Pros #2 – The program is designed to fit the modern lifestyle
Some people can adjust their lifestyle to fit the modern fitness ‘convention’. But not everyone can do it. Not everyone has the freedom not to eat dinner when they have already skipped breakfast and lunch due to a hectic work schedule.
Nate designed his program so that it fits your lifestyle – not the other way around. Several of the client testimonials inside the book say how relieved they feel after switching over to Nate’s diet.
Pros #3 – Nate writes in an entertaining humor fashion
I’ve read half a dozen diet books in the past several months. Nate is the only one that has a good sense of humor in it. Although he makes sure to write the important information, he is not afraid to joke once in a while. A good sense of humor is important in this serious journey of weight loss – and it highlights Nate’s easy-going and laid back character.
Cons #1 – You may have to change your strongly-held beliefs
If you have beliefs about dieting that you have held onto for years, you may find it difficult to let them go. Nate is a huge advocate of following a natural pattern of eating, which means you will be eating big dinners. If you’re not used to eating big dinners, you may need some time to make the adjustment.
Cons #2 – It will take time before you see results
Unlike some other diets that promise results within weeks, Nate makes no such promises. Some of his clients have had rapid success, but they were already losing weight. If you are starting from complete beginner, then give yourself time to follow this diet.
